University College Roosevelt
At University College Roosevelt, my work moves between storytelling, student life, and community.
I’m responsible for shaping UCR’s visual identity through video and photography. From advertising campaigns and YouTube series to the website, brochures, posters, and social media platforms. Working closely with UCR students in real situations, I focus on capturing what it actually feels like to study, live, and belong here, turning everyday moments into stories that feel authentic, alive, and immersive, while always supporting clear recruitment and brand goals.
UCR — Brand Campaign
(15s · 60s · 2min)
Role: Creative Director · Filmmaker · Camera Operator · Video Editor
A brand campaign for a higher-education institution, built around UCR’s core idea: curiosity, flexibility, and the freedom to design your own path. I worked on this campaign from end-to-end making three versions (15s, 60s and 2min) and in 2 formats (16:9 & 9:16) creating the same story for different attention spans while keeping it engaging and human. The campaign became a visual reference for UCR’s brand and performed above the benchmarks across platforms, specially TikTok and Snapchat.
UCR Cribs — YouTube Series
Role: Concept Creator · Director · Camera Operator · Video Editor
UCR Cribs is a YouTube student-life series that goes inside UCR rooms to show the students behind them, their personality, humour and everyday habits.
Built entirely with real students, no scripts or actors, my role as director is to create a comfortable space where authenticity leads. The series was created to answer what prospective students really want to know: Will I fit in here? Do I will have friends?
UCR Campus Tour
Role: Concept Creator · Director · Camera Operator · Video Editor
This campus tour was created to feel less like a guide and more like an invitation. I focused on showing the campus as a place, shaped by the students who move through it every day. The goal was simple: help prospective students imagine themselves there, not just understand where things are.
Middelburg in the Mix — YouTube Series
Role: Concept Creator · Director · Camera Operator · Video Editor
Middelburg in the Mix is a YouTube series about where student life and city life blend into one. Each episode follows a UCR student, showing how their passions connect them to local places and people in Middelburg. In this episode, Andrea steps behind the scenes of a drum & bass night at De Spot, guided by local cultural entrepreneur Auke van Laar. My approach is simple: observe, stay close, and capture real moments.
Orientation week Part II
Role: Director · Camera Operator ·
Video Editor
This Orientation Week film was created to capture the soul of the first days at UCR, the excitement, the chaos, the nerves, and the instant sense of connection. I followed students closely, focusing on real moments rather than highlights, letting the energy and vibe of the week lead the edit. The goal was simple: show how quickly strangers become a community, and how student life at UCR actually feels from the inside.
UCR Open Mic Night
Role: Director · Camera Operator ·
Video Editor
This Open Mic video was about capturing real moments of talent, and connection within the UCR community. I stayed close to the performers and the audience, focusing on the small details, the energy in the room and the way people support each other. The goal wasn’t to showcase an event, but to show how creative and alive the community really is when people are given space to express themselves.
Senior Project Video
Role: Producer · Director ·
Camera Operator · Video Editor
This film follows a UCR senior project from idea to execution, turning a complex research topic into a clear, human story. I captured the process behind the work and the collaboration between student, professors, and technical staff that made it possible. The goal was not to explain every detail, but to make academic research feel engaging and easy to watch, showing what studying and doing research at UCR actually looks like in practice.
